Day 13 - The Drive to Lesotho

A very quick post, we spent about 6 hours in the bus to make it to Lesotho where we were shown to our round huts for the next two nights. The landscape is completely devoid of colour and very desolate with only the odd tree and the odd shepherd fully covered up to avoid exposure whilst watching his herd of sheep and cattle. 

We had a few drinks in the bar and were lucky enough to be treated to a concert by local villages, one choir and one band. We were surprised to hear that the band had travelled round the world with their musical instruments made purely from items found on the side of the roads, a little like Stomp the very famous band.

We had dinner and got ready for bed only to discover that the huts were infested with ticks. We very quickly cleared out of the huts and pitched the tents in the dark and in the rain. Unfortunately because I had pitched in the dark, I ended up pitching on a slope meaning that I kept waking up during the night having slid down towards the entrance to the tent with my legs up round my ears about to burst out of the tent!
